Although Mauricio was a wonderful host, friendly, responsive, and accommodating, there was a major problem with the rental that caused me to have to leave early. The house was absolutely charming and quaint. It was art gallery meets quaint historical museum. Loved the house itself. Once the problem is addressed, it will be great!

Mauricio’s home was welcoming and full of treasures. If you’re interested in the arts, you can spend your time reading from his extensive library or savoring the wide array of original paintings and prints. My grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed exploring the house and spent some time outdoors, although, being winter, it was limited. If you’re looking for a great food, try Luigi’s in Culpeper. The pasta and baby clams were exceptional. This host is hands on and responded quickly and with a professional and empathetic attitude. The house held our entire family plus two dogs and we had space for more. I’d love to experience this home in the fall when Virginia is at its loveliest. Definitely give this home a try. I feel sure you won’t be disappointed.

The house is beautiful and the host was extremely kind/helpful. The property is located about 20 minutes from Culpeper, which has a great Main Street, a grocery store, and gas station. Sadly, the house was extremely dusty (cobwebs everywhere/we had to rinse every plate before we used it because they were covered in dust), had dead bugs everywhere, smelled of black mold (which we saw in the bathroom downstairs by the bedroom), and some of the faucets seemed as if they hadn’t been turned on in quite a while. Overall, it was a fine stay and the property has great potential, but the house does have to be cleaned better.

The home was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We loved our visit and will definitely go back. He was very responsive to emails and very accommodating with check-in and check-out.
