This was our second stay at Darren’s place. There’s a reason we came back! The house is comfortable and spotless. The yard is well groomed and offers a serene atmosphere. It’s lovely to sit out and watch the bunnies graze and listen to the bird song. The addition of the fire pit was a lovely surprise!

Our stay here was a good break from our busy lives. It was private and very nice and peaceful. It rained most of our stay so the back covered porch was nice to sit out and listen to the rain. We couldn’t get the fire table to work. Else the listing is very simple. We’ve been to many stays over the winter and this one wasn’t decorated at all. No little extras either. Wasn’t cozy, We’ve had gifts waiting at others like a welcome mini bar or a welcome package for staying over the holidays. I was a bit disappointed not even a few coffee pods were left out for us to use. It was very clean and a great size for us and our dog. We had a beautiful walk to the boat dock. But no stunning views because of the rain. Would be a great place for the summer lots of outside space. The door lock did give us a bit of trouble as the digital lock did die, but he was prepared with manual keys. It was a nice time away, thanks

We had a great stay a Darren’s. We rented over the Christmas holidays to be with and near family. We appreciated the peaceful area - quiet neighbourhood by the lake. We walked to the lake every day and took in the view. We were surprised by how spacious and inviting the living/dining/kitchen area was. It was nice and was a great gathering hub to cook and eat and watch tv together. Kudos to Darren for the newer good-sized tv! (Typically we find airbnb TVs lacking, but Darren’s felt like home). All was clean, the beds and bedding were comfy, and there was a dishwasher! Thank you, Darren!

This place was the perfect location for my family and our two dogs. It was clean, tidy and looked very nice. Although we didn't end up using the outdoor sitting area in the back covered porch, it looked like a lovely place to sit and relax rain or shine. I will note that there was a slight cat smell in the bedrooms but that did not take away from the overall experience, especially considering it's a pet friendly place. We would return if we find ourselves in that location again!

Just as advertised, Darren was available around the clock for any issues that came up. The house is clean and the beds are very comfortable. If you need a spot near Chatham look no further.
