There are very few actual summerhouses in Gudhjem. Here is one - unique - both in style and location. The nordic/bohemian vibe is thoroughly implemented throughout the house. Everything from the bedroom with the pitoresque view upstairs to the kitchen/ livingroom area with the fireplace and the french door leading to the romantic small courtyard devided into tiny patios in different levels, to the lounge area with gasgrill amongst clematis on the surrounding stone fence, just screams hygge ! The way the house is carefully decorated and furnished very personally makes one feel at home, among fun and beautifully patinated curious finds. The scandi-style is represented across the board. The open kitchen /dining area is well-sequipped with everything from a microwave to a blender - complete with a combined dining area and kitchen island facing the fireplace. The living room opens up from the kitchen and is pure hygge and inviting with a nice sitting area from witch you can also see the fireplace. There is also a small TV. This whole open plan area is completed by extending the small space, in the warmer month with a cozy outside dining area - just outside the french door. This super romantic eating area has a cherry tree - confortable old french iron furniture from the 50’s and a gas grill - furthermore you find a lounge area on one of the tiny and beautifully leveled patios . It has a little wood burning terasse heater - to complete and enlongate the summer evenings. On the first floor you find the master bedroom, a desk for your home office, a sofa and a beautiful view … Upstairs is one big room with sloapy cielings and visible beams. A beautiful round stone staircase leads directly up in the middle of the room. Spectacular details in every inch, like the wardrobe that doubles as a tv wall - the interior, storage solutions and decor is created in respect of the house' age and exciting history. They say that the painter Oluf Høst once had his atelier here, that he worked in the attic room upstairs. If you find a crystal ball don't hesitate to tell us if it's true. Outdoor The house has always been a bodyshop to the half timbered house next door. This house has been there since way before 1825. And has been a summerhouse since the 40's. From the first floor you have a view to the Baltic Sea and to the city roofs. In the closed and sunny stone patios there is usually shelter from the wind , and the summer outdoor life can therefore start quite early. Among hollyhocks, roses and clematis and a few young peach trees you can enjoy your meals under the sail we put up in the summer to shield the sun..In this private stone garden, you can soak up the days weather rain or shine, with food from the gas grill or a glass wine in the comfy lounge furniture. From the entrance to the courtyard and garden, one can see the Baltic Sea. If you brought a car , it can be parked in front of the house. The beds are small double beds - there is a small iron bathtub on lions feet - no regular shower. And the house is aproximately 75 m2 in total - so, small and well-planned (!) That said, dare we dare say it offers evreything you need - ... It's really quite dreamy... welcome
