My children and I had a great 2 night stay! We were walking distances to downtown Newport and the hotel had fun activities for the kids (including the movie theater!). The pool was close, which we knew in advance, but we were able to use the Marriott pool just next door. It was a great stay!

This is our second time staying at this resort. We did not realize the pool was under construction. When I called for an early check in I was told we did not have a reservation. Air bnb called and rectified this. We were told we could have an early check in but our room was not ready when we arrived we ended up getting our room at the regular check in time. This is the second time we’ve stayed at the resort and the smoke alarm started beeping in the middle of the night. Someone was up at all hours of the night above us stomping around. While I love Newport and this hotel is a great location I think it’s lacking.

Overall we had a very good stay. The location is great, you can walk to nearby restaurants and stores. There's also free parking so you're just 10mins drive from the mansions. However for the initial price paid, the place is a bit outdated. It was also never specified our accommodation would be on 2 floors (I was traveling with an elderly woman and a pregnant woman). We were also not told in advance when booking that the pool/spa area would be closed for renovations, which was the main reason in booking this accommodation over another. However the host did refund a good portion of the booking fee, after I complained.

We enjoyed our stay despite much of the outdoors and indoor pool being under construction. The communication with the resort was fantastic and they really accommodated us for any inconvenience. The “apartment” was very spacious and well supplied with anything you might need. It was very clean, including the linens and bathrooms. The location is walking distance from downtown. We had a view of the parking lot but I’m sure the rooms on the other side have better views. The movie theatre was super cool! Never saw that before. The arcade isn’t that great and each game is $1. Mostly claw machines. The reaper also offers 2-3 craft activities per day but we didn’t participate in any and some have a small fee. Overall, I’d stay here again and recommend it.
