What an extraordinary riverfront location!!! It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful setting anywhere: it’s secluded, peaceful and historic with endless views of waves on the water, an old windmill & redbud trees in bloom. The farm cottage was charming: very clean and beautifully decorated — with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. From the cottage, it’s perhaps a 5-minute drive to Nuttals Store, an historic general store that sells literally everything from soup to nuts along with sausage, cheeses, sandwiches, local jams, fine wine and much more. Friday night, we had a sublime dinner (ribs for me and haddock for my companion) at Lulu Birds restaurant on Main Street in Gloucester. Two and half days was barely enough time to scratch the surface of Gloucester and the Middle Peninsula. We’ll be back!

The farm cottage is a bit remote which is lovely and quiet. The estate is GORGEOUS with fantastic views and sunsets (also star gazing)! The pool is AMAZING!!!!! If I return to the area, I'll definitely check to see if Jane's property is available.

Very peaceful and relaxing stay. Just as described. My son enjoyed the electric piano. Nuttall’s store 5 min away had great sandwiches. Don’t forget bug spray, the river and pool area are beautiful but the flies and gnats are hungry.
