Awesome place with amazing hosts! Would recommend to anyone! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Emily and Will were very friendly, communicated effectively and quickly, and were very accommodating with anything we needed. It was the perfect getaway and was the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in! We will definitely be back!

Not all Airbnb's live up to expectations, however the Sugar toad is above in cleanliness, fabulous location with high walkability score, A+ location and well appointed. I found it comfortable, peaceful and lovingly restored. The bed is comfortable and the linens were quality, the kitchen has what you need, the outdoor spaces are a added plus. There is a food lion right behind the cottage, many great restaurants a short walk away, absolutely loved the peacefulness and convenience! Emily and Will are very responsive hosts...they have thought of everything to make you comfortable. Coffee and teas provided, along with creamer, pillows and ottomans on the porch with comfy rockers...a nice side yard with picnic table and umbrella..so many special touches... like her flowers!! They also provide cable access and great internet. Be advised that Matthews does not have cell service for other than Verizon! The folks you meet are like old friends and the seafood is fresh. GO 2 Sugartoad!!

My wife and I had a great time exploring Williamsburg area and loved coming home to this cozy cottage after a long day! Emily’s place is a beautiful gem designed with thoughtfulness and attention to detail. You will find there everything you need starting with extremely comfortable bed, functional kitchen and cozy fireplace! We will definitely be returning!

Enjoyable stay in comfort. Loved the charm of an older home that was updated with all the modern conveniences. Walked to shopping and food. Short drive to other areas of interest. Will return in the future.

Emily and Will’s place is the absolute perfect spot for a getaway trip or retreat. My husband and I went back to VA to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. He proposed in VA at historic PoleGreen Church and we wanted to go see Colonial Williamsburg, so we booked this place for our trip. The cottage is SUPER cute. Their attention to detail is incredible. Emily even left some sweet personal touches that made our trip so memorable. We loved this cottage so much. It is very cozy. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. It feels like a cloud. Having a grocery store right behind the cottage was super convenient because we were able to cook a delicious breakfast there. We never had a chance to enjoy a fire in the fire pit, but we wanted to. Emily is so quick to respond to any questions or needs. We had no issues at all during our stay. The area was safe and everyone in the little town we met was so friendly. We would definitely stay here again. 😊
