Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay in nature. Play and swim in the river or bay. Hang out and barbecue or play games. Super easy to get to, two wheel drive vehicle no problem. Two restraunts with in walking distance one even has a nice pool. Modern home with high ceilings A/C, hot water, lovely outdoor shower. Nestled in a small beautiful jungle right next to Agujas River. Within 5 minutes walk from to Playa La Cuna. 6 miles (15 minutes) from the town of Puerto Jimenez and 7 miles from town of La Palma. There are many tour options to Corcovado National Park, the gem of Costa Rica parks. The Golfito bay teeming with fish, whales and dolphins. The Gulfo Dulce is the largest natural estuary in Central America which is fed by 22 rivers. The house layout has many large windows to view the jungle, macaws, toucans, monkeys and more... We have caring and attentive caretakers and can help your questions regarding the house. Let us know what you need and we will do our best to make it happen! You can take a 45 minute flight from the Domestic airport of San Jose, located 5 minutes walking distance from the International airport in San Jose (SJO) to the town of Puerto Jimenez. From the airport you can take a 15 minute taxi to the house. We would be more than happy to greet you at the airport with a taxi and assist with your luggage if you would like.

We say this is a must stop and stay! My husband & I have been overlanding Central America since September of last year; this is only the 3rd time we have chosen to stay in an Airbnb. As soon as I saw the photos I knew we had to see and stay at Stephanie’s Kraken Cabin! Hidden in a little jungle (fyi the photos don’t show how much growth has happened since built) but we made it in our truck-camper no problem just go slow with the trees & canopy. The property has nice pathways, beautiful foliage & trees. Creative designs of the different accommodations. Glamping, Snail House and the awesome Kraken cabin. They are currently building a tree house. The neighborhood is also nicely kept. Close to the bay for swimming & kayaking. Take a walk in the river to the bay or just walk down the main road. Make sure to bring treats for the 4 dogs but know they are well fed. And if you give the capuchin monkeys bananas just know that they will be back often wanting more. Very entertaining! Loved It!

The Kraken Cabin was amazing! We were greeted by a whole troop of squirrel monkeys when we arrived and were visited by the friendly dogs multiple times. The place was beautiful and it was comfortable. It was surrounded by nature.

Nous sommes arrivés au Kraken en dernière minute, suite à une avarie sur notre location précédente. Stéphanie a été très réactive et Jessica nous a assuré un accueil irréprochable. La maison est très confortable et très bien équipée. L'emplacement est vraiment idéal, il y a une petite plage à 5 minutes à pieds avec un joli coucher de soleil. Il y a également des restaurants juste à côté, où l'on peut manger à petit prix. Et la propriété propose un environnement super avec un ruisseau, des sentiers pour déambuler et même un observatoire. Nous avons vu les singes et toucans jouer dans les arbres devant la maison, nous avons aussi vu les aras et pleins d'autres animaux. Notre seul regret est de pas y être resté plus longtemps.
