Day 1 torrential rain ❤️ looking down at rainforest tree tops. Later spider monkey joy in palms in driveway. 🐒 Pool and deck area, AMAZING and Beautiful. Romantic night swim. Villa, no porch light, 1000 biting black ants on couch, table, shelves. 2 nd floor, up outside stairs to bedrooms and one bath in between, (not connected). A/C worked but doors did not close completely letting insects in. Not enough light to read from bed lamp, and light bulb out downstairs as well. Day 2 After a mostly sleepless night we had a lovely breakfast the next morning up at the pool area, and forfeited the next 2 nights and left in search of a more beautiful indoor ambiance, which we found at Jaguar Jungle Lodge. There will of course be insects galore in CR, but other places we have been handled them differently. Ricardo offered to make other arrangements, but after hearing that unit 8, which we were in was the best, from other reviews, we had to accept we need a bit more luxury. You may LOVE it!

We stayed in Villa 8. We arrived late Monday afternoon just prior to a big rain storm. The villas are about mile off the main road and you will definitely want to have a 4x4, and for most of Costa Rica, you will be very happy to you got a 4x4! You enter the massive gates to get into the complex and it's like arriving at Jurassic Park. Richie met us at gate and told us where the villa was located. The villa was very nice. Living space, kitchen and full bath downstairs. To get to the bedrooms, you walk out onto the back deck and take the stairs up to the bedrooms. Keep in mind that the stairs can get wet so be careful going up and down the steps as they are a bit steep. 2 very large bedrooms with en-suite baths. The views from the decks are amazing. We had monkey's visit in the mornings, saw macaws, toucans and lots of parrots. Was amazing. We had breakfast at the la palapa up the hill the first morning. Great views, amazing pool and jacuzzi. We really hated to leave.

Wonderful place to enjoy peace and quiet. Macaws are everywhere and the staff is super friendly Pool and restaurante areas are super comfortable, nice and the view is incredible Recommended 100%
