The south end is also perfect for surfing or exploring around the rocks or you can walk or drive down to the Pauanui Surf Club for a swim before venturing back home to rinse off under the hot outdoor shower. There is more than enough room to park your boat at Family Escape, and you’ll be able to launch at Royal Billy Point Park just six minutes' drive away. If you’re needing to top up on supplies, the Pauanui Shopping Village is a 3-minute drive or 14-minute walk away, where you’ll find a couple of great spots to eat and also a well-stocked mini-supermarket.
