Kirkwood is a very well designed holiday house with great quality fittings and all we could possibly need for a short break. The view is beautiful, the kitchen is well appointed and the house is warm, which is important in a Clunes winter. We really enjoyed our stay.
Welcoming and relaxing accommodation. The view to the sweeping paddocks over the backyard was lovely - we watched the weather rolling in and enjoyed the rainbows, curious sheep and abundant birdlife. Excellent communication. Plentiful crockery and cookware - just enough without being too much (if you know what I mean!). Over 4 nights and 3 people, we only ran the dishwasher twice without needing to do extra hand washing - in my books, perfect outcome! We brought 3 evening meals from home to reheat and at once at the Farmer's Arms in Creswick (highly recommend them, too!). Excellent coffee at @52 in the main street of Clunes. We enjoyed the wood fire and extremely comfortable beds at Kirkwood.
