What a beautiful place, we loved it. The cottage was perfect, beautiful, private and comfortable. The estate was magnificent, great walks views and adventures. The lake was a highlight. The hosts, Kate and Simon, were friendly, welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful. Five stars, we will be back!!
We enjoyed our visit to the Cottage. The estate’s surrounds are so beautiful and we enjoyed walking down to the lake and around the gorgeous gardens. It’s obvious how much care Kate and her family have taken to maintain and continue to restore the property. And Kate gave us helpful suggestions of things to do in the area and was prompt to reply when we had questions. We visited the Cottage for one night with our dog to escape the NYE fireworks in the city. It was very relaxing to switch off from everything - including the internet as there’s no WiFi in the cottage…it gave me a chance to read my book. :) It felt very private with the cottage’s garden surrounded by the tall hedge and we enjoyed sitting outside at the little table for dinner. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and had all the basics. One thing - I couldn’t get phone reception inside the cottage (possibly because of the thick stone walls?), but it wasn’t a problem for us.

There has been zero communication between the host and myself. The door was unlocked when we got there so we just assumed that everything was ok to stay there. There was no hot water and we left by 10 even though there was no mention of a check out time. Other than that, it was a stunning accommodation that we would probably visit again. Comfortable beds, gorgeous scenery, great resources! Stunning place
We spent two nights at this gorgeous little cottage with our baby and two dogs. The cottage is super comfortable and private, and it is located on a gorgeous property with we loved walking around and exploring at sunset. A great place to relax after the festive season in Melbourne. Thank you Kate.
