This Herrin neighborhood was slightly run down but safe. Parking was in a convenient lot across the street. The unit is 1st floor unit, so very few steps. The bed was comfy and NO bedbugs. I needed help with the thermostat & turning on the water in the shower. Both times a maintenance man was sent. The kitchen had lots of appliances, dishes, pots/pans, utensils, etc. I could watch Netflix and Amazon Prime (my own accounts) on the TV in the living room. I wish there’d been curtains for the front windows as they face the porch. Also, people could see through the darkened windows of the unit’s front door. It would have been nice if there was a 2nd exit in case of fire. There was a backdoor but it was locked from the outside and exited into a storage area. There were two bedrooms. Getting to the bathroom meant cutting through one of the bedrooms and walking around the bed. Would have been awkward with a group--especially for people using the bathroom in the night. But overall a nice place.

The review is based on Studio in the same building, this space was unexpectedly not available. Studio was as advertised, it was clean and quiet. Works well for 1 or 2 people for a short stay. The only reason it did not give 5 stars was due to a lack of communication regarding early Check-In. I specially asked if an early Check In would be possible and was told “No problem. Any time.” As I was arriving got a message that the space would not be ready and that they still needed to clean as they had guests the night before. If they truly had guests, then the host knew the day before that early check-in would not be possible. I did not get in for several hours after I had originally been told. This caused a huge inconvenience for others and required me to rearrange an entire day on short notice. If the host had given me some common curiosity and advised that early check-in was no longer available even the day before I could have made other plans
