We had a wonderful short stay at "Kumara". The property was really lovely, all heritage charm fitted out with the comforts of modern living. We particularly enjoyed the long summer evenings spent sitting out on the peaceful back verandah looking over the glorious garden down to the river. I was particularly taken with the attention to detail - the kitchen was extremely well appointed with excellent quality appliances, utensils, well stocked pantry; bedroom with his'nhers robes and generous storage and a desk area; bathroom with an extensive range of lovely and useful products, right down to the jar of hair ties and separate hair towel. A glorious shower and thick fluffy towels were very enjoyable. Leandar and Steve were expecially lovely hosts, giving us privacy yet happy to stop for a chat when our paths crossed. My only regret is not taking time to write something in the guest book - happy to have a reason to go back next time. Thank you!

Leanda's was by far the best Air BnB we have ever stayed in. The accommodation is very luxuriously appointed for a family of 4 or 2 couples, with luxury items, fully-stocked kitchen and bathroom, and every little detail thought of, including Peter Alexander robes, sleeping masks, and loan items such as umbrellas. The views from the back verandah over the gardens and out to the Derwent river are simply gorgeous. The location is a great base for exploring the Derwent River region, yet close enough to do a short drive to Mona gallery and to Hobart city centre. Leanda was proactive and very thoughtful, asking if our children had any preferences for breakfast and providing a very generous spread, as well as a few treats and pantry staples. I'd highly recommend a stay at Kumara.
