Val & Ian's place exceeded our expectations- not least because they were such easy-going, thoughtful and lovely hosts! The house is fantastic, possibly the best equipped we've ever stayed in and spotlessly clean. Here are some of the things (that are often missing) which really 5 starred this place to the max: Sharp knives, choice of pillows, salad spinner, separate chopping boards (which we appreciate as vegetarians), blue tooth speaker, inflatables for the pool and garden games, loads of louongers and outdoor chairs, plenty of crockery (so you can actually use the dish washer) AND the best welcome pack we've ever had... cold beers and wine in the fridge, milk, tea, coffee, snacks, bread, jam, cheese and all cleaning products and loo roll. What a difference it makes after a really long drive to arrive to everything you might need on your first night/morning! On the second day the freezer mysteriously stopped working and Val & Ian were on it immediately to the extent that they bought a new fridge freezer to replace the one that had stopped working that day. We've never before experienced hosts who were so caring for our holiday experience and bent over backwards like this to fix a problem. Val even replaced the ice-creams we'd lost for the kids! The village has a perfect little shop for morning bread & croissants and Confolens is nearby and very pretty. To be honest we didn't spend much time aay from the house as it was very hot, but also because we felt so completely relaxed there. We all loved the pool and we couldn't have asked for a better place for our extended family to have a holiday together. A MASSIVE recommendation from us, and a huge THANK YOU to Val & Ian for doing airBnB so brilliantly!

Superbe gîte, l'endroit est très agréable, autant l'intérieur que l'extérieur. Parfait pour profiter de quelques jours de repos .
