Adorable decor, big space, super clean, and with amazing views. Wish we had stayed a whole week and not just the weekend.
Our stay was spectacular! Claire and Karen were so helpful in helping us find local spots to visit. The house was beautiful, with the most amazing views and wonderful decor! We felt right at home, especially on the downstairs couch which was the most comfortable thing in the world! The location was perfect, serene and private with the beautiful lake to admire, only a quick 20 minutes from Portland. The beds were comfortable, and everything was amazing!
Claire and Karen's house is located in a wonderfully peaceful location to relax in. Close to Portland, but with the advantage of experiencing the tranquility of the lake which is visible from almost every window. Comfortable beds with comfy linens, a well stocked and equipped kitchen, tastefully decorated rooms with lots of comfy chairs and sofas, an easy house to settle in to. Claire and Karen are very responsive and easy to communicate with. Will definitely be back to this gem!
We had a wonderful stay at Claire and Karen’s place! The home itself was beautiful and well maintained. The lake view was peaceful and calming. Karen and Claire were very helpful and responsive to messages. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice and relaxing getaway!
The house is a puzzle. Some parts seem updated and others not. The brick pathway is frost heaved and uneven. The house was clean with the exception of a lack of dusting on/around the interior stairway (look up at corners). The layout of a basement king suite and a second floor queen 2-bed suite (plus another queen room) worked as our grown kids were easily separated from us old folk for sleeping/waking. The 2.5 baths are great. The queen beds have great mattresses! The lake and associated water toys rock. Yet some windows have crankarms that do not work. The basement suite requires a dehumidifier running constantly. Overall the place is adequate. The cleaning fee, however, is ridiculous.

We; Karen, Keith, Vince & Claire arrived on Airbnb when we bought and refurbed a beautiful house on Highland Lake, Falmouth Maine in 2021. Progress photos are on FB & Insta pages 43SunsetRd. We hope you enjoy this gorgeous home with its relaxing views & stunning sunsets as much as we do!
