Serious flea infestation. Albeit a stunning location and lovely property. The cottage itself has a flea problem. Alarmingly, these were found jumping on the bed in the master bedroom, me and my partner have subsequently been bitten 20+ times between us and are seriously itchy. When the issue was raised with the host it was dealt with appallingly and unprofessionally. I was called a liar and accused of bringing the fleas into the property, despite having no prior issue and only encountering the problem IN the property. It also says no pets allowed however my clothing did end up covered in what appeared to be dog fur. Outraged (and very itchy) at the entire situation - unmistakably fleas jumping on us in bed and a host in denial. Never experienced anything like this before and I hope whoever reads this doesn’t. Not sure what was worse - the fleas jumping all over us or being accused of lying.
This is a wonderful spot to enjoy the stunning views of the sea and cliffs. With everything you need for a cosy stay and the Zetland arms only a minute away, this is the perfect setting for a wonderful getaway.

We - family of four - had a great stay in the very nicely decorated and perfectly located holiday home. Best thing for us was the location directly at the pebble beach, very quiet with some walk options directly starting at the front door and such nice interior which looked exactly as in the pictures (just to name a few of the things we enjoyed). Communication with Ally was very easy and nice. Our experience in the holiday home was exceptional!
We had an absolutely fantastic time in Kingdown! Not only was the house beautiful, but Ally, our host, was also very helpful and lovely! We would definitely recommend everyone who gets the chance to enjoy some time away at this place! You are right at the beach with a stunning view of the sea from your bedroom, and there's a pub just around the corner that serves good food. We are looking forward to returning one day.
