Great place to stay, a little pricey but worth it.

You’re definitely paying only for the view and not much else. We arrived at the property and had to spend the first hour of our stay cleaning the outdoor areas of cobwebs and bird poop before we were able to use it and enjoy the beautiful view. I even reached out to Vacasa ten days before our trip to ask them to make sure the outdoor areas were clean and they assured me it would be, but unfortunately it was not. I tried to ask Vacasa to send another cleaning team but they never came (they claim the cleaning team came but we were home the whole time and no one ever came), and coordinating with the Vacasa HQ team and local team was a nightmare because they very obviously rely on a poorly trained AI chatbot to handle most of their customer service interactions. Overall, we still were able to enjoy our stay and we loved La Jolla, Pacific Beach, and Mission Bay. Your enjoyment in this property will just depend on your personal preference for cleanliness, but you can’t deny that view.

Our stay here was amazing! The moment my family walked in the front door, our jaws hit the floor just as soon as our bags did because of the breathtaking views. 5 stars. Great bang for the dollar. I was apprehensive after reading other reviews about how the house is outdated and needs upgrades. Yes, it’s true that the property has A LOT more potential. However, the price would likely go up dramatically with that. I think this place is absolutely perfect the way it is. I would love to come back soon. I also love how dog friendly the property is. Again, unquestionably 5 stars given the totality.

I agree w prior reviews that the reason to book here are outside the home. This house is in a great neighborhood w an unrivaled spectacular view of the ocean and beautiful San Diego coast. It has two separate decks from which to enjoy these and they allow for mingling, great outdoor dining, or just an idyllic oasis in which to relax. I also agree that indoors it is more dated and lived in, but it is a spacious and with an open layout, expansive windows, and multiple points of outdoor access. Birdrock is a wonderful local neighborhood w great shops, cafes and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. In fact, I am grateful that in this area an opportunity exists to enjoy this special San Diego locale. The Vacasa team was very responsive and professional, similar to when they have managed other properties where I have stayed.

only 3 bowls broken glass in the cabinets centipedes in the property cobwebs on multiple walls no hand soap in two bathrooms washing machine works poorly holes in drywall cracked bathroom mirrors stained, dirty carpets but the view is amazing and the beds and sheets are very nice. there's plenty of space.
