Welcome to our charming guesthouse in Riverside Heights, a safe and centrally-located neighborhood — 10 minutes from Downtown Tampa. This unique retreat for two has tropical vibes, a loft sleeping area, a well-stocked kitchen, and a private patio. Newly built from floor to ceiling, it is filled with stylish decor and luxurious furnishings. Your hosts include a Tampa native and food writer which means you’ll get the best recommendations on things to do and places to eat! LOUNGE AREA When you enter the cottage, you’ll see a lounge area to the left with an ultra-comfy loveseat, accent chair, coffee table and throw pillows. Wall hooks, a metal basket, and a small bureau beneath the wall-mounted TV provide storage for your belongings. Two large skylights and four windows fill the space with natural light. The two front windows have light-blocking curtains and the other two windows (one on each side of the cottage) are fogged glass for privacy. The front door also has a light-blocking curtain. KITCHEN The kitchen has a surprising amount of counter space and supplies to cook a meal from scratch. It has a two-burner induction stovetop, compact Breville toaster oven, stainless steel refridgerator, stainless steel cookware and utensils, quality knives, and so much more! You can make a great cup of coffee using the electric kettle, French press, and local beans ground fresh before your arrival. The L-shaped counter provides seating for two — or take your meal outside on the patio with a bistro table, 4-6 ft privacy fence, and lots of plants! BATHROOM The full-size bathroom has a spacious tiled shower, Delta fixtures, plush towels, organic shampoo and conditioner, a hair dryer, flat iron, and endless supply of hot water. SLEEPING LOFT Inspired by tiny homes, the sleeping area is located in a loft accessible by stairs with a railing. There is a queen-sized solid wood platform bed with a supportive memory foam mattress. The loft window has a light filtering curtain. Please note the stairs are steeper than average, and the ceiling is at an angle. You need to duck to get in and out of bed! Feel free to utilize the storage space below the staircase. Your carry-on luggage will fit perfectly on the floor below the first shelf. You’ll also find beach towels, a portable Bose speaker, playing cards, and other useful items here.
