We had a really nice stay at the castle hotel. The staff was welcoming and the traditional Albanian food was amazing. Getting inside the castle by car was a bit of a challenge as the road is very steep, but once you’re up there you can stay inside the castle for a couple of days. Just go down to the old town by foot or walk around the castle and drink raki with the residents.

Berat Castle was beautiful and it was amazing to get to stay in such a historic place. We decided to extend our stay by a day, and the staff was very accommodating and flexible. Everyone was very kind and professional.
