A fabulous indoor market takes place on the old metro station dubbed the ’Covent garden of the North’ an intriguing place loved by locals and visitors to the area. Only a short walk from the house is the ancient abbey, beach and seaside. There are ample bars and restaurants around to never have to leave Tynemouth but whilst in the area a trip into Northumberland to discover the glorious heritage coastline, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which should not be missed with miles of golden sands and peppered with castles and friendly villages. Some things that were supposed to be at the property were missing (parking permit, bath towels.....). Cottages,Com were difficult/impossible to get hold of and were not able to fix the problems for the duration of our stay.
Lovely spotless house in a fabulous location. It was a great place to celebrate two significant birthdays! Everyone had a lovely bedroom, the bar was great and we loved the sunny little garden. Close to lots of great bars and restaurants and the beach was a few minutes walk away.
Lovely place But just a few issues Freezer totally frozen up Only one key No corkscrew or teatowel Thin mattress top floor 2 Sliding doors to bathrooms broken Communication lacking Plus points plenty room Clean Beautiful views and garden Great location Quiet
Lovely house with small but lovely garden. Nice view to the sea from some of the bedrooms. Great location - our kids loved in particular "their" tiny beach.
