And relax…! Enjoy a break and unwind in our peaceful garden room. Or, if you would rather be active, head out by foot or by bike to explore the forest. Stourhead NT house and gardens are within walking distance with its cafes, gallery and farm shop. There are 3 country pubs within 1.5 miles which all do meals. Stonehenge, Gold Hill in Shaftesbury, Frome, Bath and Sherborne are all great trips out. Late checkout at 3pm. Dogs welcome. The Hutch is a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. The double doors open out onto a garden which you are free to use. You can dine inside or outside. Although we don’t have a full kitchen, there is a microwave and mini fridge so you can make simple meals. The Hutch is very well insulated so is very warm in the winter. You have your own dedicated parking space.

we leved staying here with 3 dogs. the host was so welcoming and relaxed. one of our dogs jumped the fence and she wasn't worried about it at all. it made everything easy, peaceful and just nice. it was a nice place to stay and I would come again!
I selected this place due to all the positive feedback I read, and I wasn't disappointed! The best hosts - welcoming, friendly and super helpful. Rachael provided really good directions on how to find the place etc which was great especially as this was my first ever AirBnB stay. Everything was exactly what I needed: a peaceful long weekend in beautiful surroundings. My dog and I both loved the stunning nearby woodland and spent hours walking there. And we both enjoyed watching the garden birds through the French doors of The Hutch. :-) Thank you so much, Rachael - I wouldn't hesitate to come back some time!
One of the best places we have stayed, in addition to being the perfect countryside location the space had everything we needed and was even bigger in person. Our dog was welcomed which was much appreciated.

The Hutch @ Rose Cottage is in a tiny hamlet on the edge of acres of woodland - a haven for walking. There are plenty of quiet lanes for cyclists and we are happy to suggest routes. There are lots of towns, villages and tourist attractions nearby within a short drive. It is very peaceful and rural.
You have your own off road parking space. If you arrive by train at Gillingham station I am happy to pick you up if I am able to.
