A wonderful and unique stay, beautifully finished 19th century church with a rich history. It's located within a 5 minute drive from Kenmare which has some stunning restaurants and bars. Derrynane, possibly Ireland's finest beach is worth a visit and Killarney can be reached via the stunning ring of Kerry route. Don't forget to stop at Lady's view for a coffee before takling the Black valley drive where you will witness some of the most beautiful countryside in Ireland. Highly recommended.
Very lovely stay in very unique Vestry. Modern and cosy accommodation in converted church. Mix between modern and old. Beautiful scenery out of window on Kenmare bay. Perfectly equipped kitchen. Dog friendly. Perfect base to explore magnificent Ring of Kerry or even as just a lovely base for different kind of getaway for couple or group of friends. Just 5 min drive away from little bustling Kenmare town. On the top of that very responsive and friendly host Michelle. Many thanks for truly unique experience.

To stay in this renovated church is not just a place to stay but an experience. I would sit and just think about the history of the church and all the dedication it took to build and also to renovate. I absolutely loved the cemetery. The location is great and right on the Ring of Kerry. They had umbrellas for use which was such a nice touch. Washing machine worked great and there's an area to hang the clothes to dry upstairs. Michelle was super easy to communicate with and fast to reply to our needs. Such a wonderful stay.
Loved staying here! Michelle was a great host, easy to get a hold of and the place was a perfect spot for the 2nd part of our trip.

I'm a tech co-founder, ex-athlete, animal crazy and probably slightly OCD about cleanliness (think Monica but hopefully a bit more fun). I love design and architecture, anything art or music, being outdoors and eating (I loveee good food or bad food, really ANY food). I bought The Vestry about 10 years ago on a whim after driving past it and falling in love with its beauty and history. Lived in Kerry for 5 years while renovating the building - it is definitely 'my happy place'.
