The Bluegrass Bungalow is such a cute place and is a great value! The interior is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The host is responsive and proactive in messaging, and the check-out requirements are reasonable and light. The location is convenient to UK, and walkable to the arboretum and a couple of restaurants nearby. The house is in a historic district, so has some old house charm/quirks, but has been updated beautifully. I would seek out the Bluegrass Bungalow to rent again the next time we return to Lexington.

The place was clean, conveniently located and has a nice backyard. We had some good weather and spent time sitting in the sun. My main issue of our stay was around the loudness of the heating system. It made loud noise turning on and made a banging noise when it turned off. This kept us up the first night and we had to turn off the system to get any sleep making it very cold in the morning. I messaged the host first thing and he had someone come by hours later. I was told I'd be kept in the loop but wasn't nor was I asked if the situation was resolved. Weirdly after our initial conversation when I reported the issue the host sent me a message asking how our first night was.... as if the conversation we had didn't happen. The heater was fixed so no more banging which I was thankful for. I still found the system very loud during normal use and I had trouble sleeping the whole time. My husband slept OK after the banging was fixed.

Had a simple maintenance issue that Ethan used common sense and trust to resolve. Process of contacting Airbnb to resolve the issue was awkward and cumbersome.. Once Ethan got involved we were able to fix the problem. House was clean and the kitchen is fully equipped. The furniture and furnishings are very good and the king beds are comfortable.
