Luis and Chuparosa Inn were beyond expectation. I was tempted to only rate four stars for the accuracy of the description of this place as I believe the listing "undersold" the actual location, setup, and lodging. Amazing experience. I'm usually a "leave me be and I'll figure out where my room is" kind of person. But it was genuinely nice to have Luis greet us as we came onto the property and receive a quick tour (plus identification of some birds) of our room and the outdoor area. I recommend the Chuparosa to everyone.

Luis and Nancy were kind and attentive. The room was quite basic but the surroundings were absolutely stunning and the location of the Inn is perfect for those who love nature, want to spend time with birds, and have easy access to hiking in the canyon. We had such a wonderful time!

We loved our stay here! Everything was perfect! Luis was super friendly and always had great recommendations to help make sure we saw as much as possible. We also really enjoyed grilling and enjoying dinner under the outdoor chandelier. The room had everything we needed, but we spent most of our time outside hiking the trails or sitting out on the patios watching the birds at the feeders. We will definitely be back!

The Chuparosa is by far the loveliest place to stay in the Madera Canyon. This was our second visit and hope there will be more. Luis and Nancy are wonderful attentive hosts, sharing their insights into the wonders of the canyon and surrounding areas. They upgraded us, at no cost, to the charming and spacious Hummingbird Suite when there was a small problem with the one we booked. We loved the suite and all the outdoor spaces to relax on this beautiful property.

We enjoyed our stay in the Cowboy Room. It was exactly as expected. The kitchen has a small fridge and microwave and coffee pot provided with coffee and sugar - we brought our own milk for coffee and brought our own breakfast food since Luis told us ahead of time that there’s no breakfast provided. (Would absolutely have loved to still have breakfast - understand not since COVID). Sitting outside on the patio for dinner and to watch the birds was lovely. It would have been even better if it was a bit warmer in the mornings (it was in the 30s and 40s at night). Luis was very communicative and helpful before and during our stay. He made us feel welcome, visited with us, and gave us some ideas of things to do and provided a helpful checklist for our checkout. The Desert Meadows Park in Green Valley that he suggested was gorgeous. We also felt welcome to share our Native American Style Flute music on the patio.
