Location is very central and close to metro station, which is great, lots of eateries and cafes on the street, which is nice in terms of having plenty to choose from even late at night, but also somewhat noisy, even up on the fourth floor with the windows closed. The stairs are indeed a challenge, as others noted, but not unexpected in old buildings in this area of Paris. Place was quite clean, but furniture somewhat worn out, as were the shower fixtures. WiFi was unfortunately not operational, meaning we had to use the network of one of the other units in the building, both a hassle and weaker signal. Espresso machine was there but no capsules/sugar/sweetener. I know it's not a hotel but did hope for a couple of complimentary capsules. Owner offered to reimburse us if we buy some, but it's not a matter of cost of capsules so much as the idea of being able to simply have a cup of coffee when one arrives... They responded kindly but didn't really provide solutions.

BEWARE THE DEPOSIT + No/low WiFi. Like me, you may pick Airbnb’s on location, photos + reviews. If so, you may also miss the note down in the ~20th part of the description that there’s a mandatory €250 deposit before you’re allowed to enter the unit (that you rented at a nonrefundable rate.) Once you reserve, you will be sent text reminders that you may not checkin until you’ve paid the deposit, which will be returned 8-14 days post depart. I’m at day 13 and it still has not been returned. In the instructions for arrival sent out after you book, you’re informed that you’ll be fined for noise, 100€ for leaving a minute after 11 AM, or for anything else they don’t like about your stay lol. We’ll see if after this review, I get my deposit back ;) That said, the place is beautiful, spacious, clean, and in a top location with a great view. It’s a delight if you know what you’re getting into. The stairs are the most dangerous I’ve seen in Paris, so be agile! But once you’re in, it’s lovely.

We loved our stay here. It is on a very busy corner with lots happening. It is a little noisy if you like to sleep with the windows open but we loved the location and all the yummy restaurants right our our door.

Everything was perfect during our stay. The apartment is awesome, neighbourhood is great for walking, eating, night live and close to metro and RER from/to airport. If I have to spot something we didn’t like is the check-in time: 3pm is way too late. It makes a luggage locker mandatory.
