This is a perfect little spot to stay while you do adventures on the island. It has everything you need to get some sleep, take a hot shower, make a meal, and enjoy the ocean view. The location is within walking distance to mini golf, the aquarium, and a couple shops and restaurants. My husband and I were here 8 nights and we thought overall, we got what we paid for. Especially if you compare it to other places on the island. Things that may or may not matter to you: 1-there are no windor panes in this apartment, there are glass shutters on the outside with a screen on the inside of your room, you can adjust the shutters, but you cannot completely close the outside off. We had 30 mph winds the first 4 nights we were there and it just howled through the shutters. 2- the master bed is doable but I wouldn’t go as far as to say comfortable. 3- the pull out bed is thin, with metal bars running under you, and your head will be 3 inches below your feet. Sleeping on the couch would be better.

This rental matched the description and photos well. This was a great, central location as we explored each end of the island. It is walkable to Sugar Beach (long stretch of beach for walking and swimming) and a harbor that has the Maui Ocean Center, restaurants, and a nice ice cream shop. Please note that it is located on one of the windiest parts of the island - we were a bit surprised by this fact! The patio is incredible and you're right in front of the resort's small private beach that turtles rest at every night and play in front of every afternoon. So incredible! The rental included amenities like cooler/ice packs, umbrella, chairs, towels, etc. to help you enjoy the beach. The kitchen and bathroom feel recently renovated. The patio furniture is a bit out-dated and one chair was broken. But aside from that, the rental far exceeded our hopes and expectations :) Would highly recommend staying here if you get the chance! I really don't know how you could ask for more at this price.

Location!Location!Location! In our opinion Maalaea is the best location to stay in Maui. Don’t expect a 5 star resort, but you’ll find a clean and comfortable well kept condo unit. The kitchen is well equipped with newer appliances and lots of dishes and cooking utensils. Watch the surf break from the comfort of your lanai. Go to sleep to the sound of the surf at night. A short 5 minute walk takes you to the start of Sugar Beach, one of the best beaches on the island.

Karine and Ovick’s place is wonderful! My family and I felt right at home, and they had amenities not listed that we ended up really needing! The location is the best on Maui in our opinion…walkable to the Maalaea harbor, and pretty central to most of the main areas on Maui. The little beach right out our condo had sea turtles in the water every day and on the sand every evening! The hosts were very responsive when we had questions, and we had everything we needed for an amazing Maui getaway at the condo. We would love to come back to this exact spot and would recommend it to anyone and everyone!
