🚨HIDDEN GEM ALERT🚨 I cannot say enough amazing things about this stay. I’ll try to make this review as quick and crisp as possible. Check-in: 5 ⭐️’s. The Village was just pummeled by 20+ inches of snow and I still had a great checkin. The cabins (depending on which you get) could be a short walk from your car. They provide you with carts to carry, but due to the snow, they were not going to work. However, the staff immediately offered maintenance to drive our stuff up for us, which to me was above and beyond! Cabin: 5 ⭐️’s. Our cabin, Cedar Lodge was spacious with a nice community spot in center to get her for dinner/ games/ tv, definitely nice for the family to spend some quality time together! The cabin is EXACTLY as advertised, and honestly to me - was over the top with what I would expect for a ‘glamping’ cabin in the woods. I loved the little portable ‘camp’ lights next to the bed stands, so not to turn on every light in house when using restroom, or just to see in your own private room even. The helpful notes on bed stand and by windows. The mini-fridge was bigger than expected, the coffee was great and having wood and kindling provided to us was even better. I’ve stayed in many places where guests are responsible, so this was nice! Beds were comfortable, plenty of blankets and two pillows. Hangers and a luggage stand made the room that much better as well. Staff: 5+++ ⭐️’s I’m extremely particular about the individuals I engage with. Meaning I expect civilized conversations, and people who know how to read a room, while also showing empathy/compassion and kindness. Pleased to say the staff nailed it on this level. I met/interacted with about 7 individuals and everyone was extremely polite and overly helpful. Some offered to help with carrying things - if they saw my hands full , many offered great advice on trials and all were so warm. It gave me a huge smile to see the kindness. Some other notes. As mentioned, we went when it snowed heavily. The trails were beautiful, definitely required good snow boots to get through (the ones next to the cabin) so I suggest if you go during winter- bring them just in case! I’ve seen the village and trails without snow and it’s just magical to walk around. However, I’m a fan of snow and having the magical winter wonderland we had was incredible. I wish I could post photos from our view of cabin. Just serene! The restaurant was open from 7-11 and then grab and go until 2. We are there 2 mornings of the 3 we were there and OMGOSH. Loveeee it! Food was yummy and so convenient being so close. Also, this is near trail of 10 falls - make sure to check it out or ask staff about it during your visit, glad someone told us. You must MUST at least see the one North fall. It’s absolutely phenomenal. Overall this place was fantastic and gem. So happy I came, can’t wait to come back and see it without all the beautiful snow. If you have any questions or need any help for booking - do not be afraid to ask Kyle/Brooke. I mostly worked with Brooke personally and she was SO incredibly helpful on our trip - honestly for me, made it that much more enjoyable. Thank you to all at Smith Creek Village. You really made our stay an awesome one!
