A cozy and welcoming space that was well equipped and comfortable. The property was absolutely beautiful and secluded plus lake access was a great addition that made our stay unforgettable.

The house is located close to some Vermont gems such as Bread & Puppet, Hill Farmstead Brewery, Highland Lodge, Craftsbury Outdoor Center, The Thompson Family Farm, Hinterland Market and Genny’s General Store. The hot tub is awesome and looks out over the woods. The house is old but has a new addition that houses the master bedroom and large bathroom with soaking tub surrounded by windows. The older part of the house does its job but feels a bit cluttered. The homeowners possessions are all around the house so if that’s something you don’t like, this place probably isn’t for you but it didn’t bother us as we were comfortable and happy to have access to things we didn’t bring like butter, spices and bath soaps. The kitchen had absolutely everything you could ever need, you just had to find it. I like the funky Vermont vibe and felt this Abnb falls in line… Use it up, wear it out, make do - or do without. Thanks for the comfortable stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Heidi’s place. It was quite cozy and we particularly loved the beautiful surroundings, comfortable beds, and spacious master bathroom with a view! Heidi was vey proactive and we appreciated that she checked in to be sure our arrival went well.

Heidi and Sam's place is in a beautiful setting and the house features its surroundings with lots of natural light, a huge deck that extends the living area, and a new screened porch that was a great place to linger over brunches and dinners. The kitchen was well stocked and we used it to do plenty of cooking and hanging out. The master bedroom and bathroom are especially nice, spacious, and tastefully decorated. We opted for the wood-fired hot tub, which Sam had ready for us upon arrival with clear instructions about how to keep it going through the weekend. Sam was great to communicate with, quick to respond, and did his best to take care of our needs. We enjoyed hiking Barr Hill via the Highland Lodge Trails and walking the lovely loop trail directly below the house, visiting the Craftsbury Common Farmers Market (Sat 10-1), and grabbing a beer at Hill Farmstead, in addition to other pleasant meanderings. We highly recommend Heidi and Sam's place and would love to return!
