Our community is simple, safe and quiet. Just 15 minutes to everything: major hospitals, Metro airport, Campus Martius & Downtown Detroit, shopping on “the hill”, the Henry Ford museum, recreational dispensaries, kayak river tours, and more.
Most everyday shopping needs can be filled in Downtown Lincoln Park. You’ll find a variety of restaurants and retailers within a 10 minute walk.
In no particular order, here’s some of the options we like: Aldi, BC’s Pizza, Little Caesars, Calders Dairy, A&W, Steele Trap Tavern, Yum Express, LP Fuel convenience store, McDonalds, Park Restaurant, Dollar General, Walgreens, Tim Hortons and several highly rated taquerias/bodegas (Taco Tuesday!).
Kroger and many more restaurant options are a short drive.
There’s several gyms in the area that offer week and month passes. If you prefer running and walking outside, the neighborhood is safe and walkable plus Council Point Park, the Detroit River Front and Downtown Wyandotte are nearby.
Farmers Market: Sundays during season, from 11 – 3 at Mellus Park.

By Auto: You guessed it, the automobile is your best bet for getting around Motor City. There’s easy access to i94, i75, Southfield Freeway, and all of metro Detroit. We also recommend Lyft/Uber and renting a car at the airport or from a local person on Turo. Keep in mind that after a big event ends Lyfts can be hard to come by since everyone is trying to get one at the same time.
Parking in Detroit: Events and normal nightlife can complicate parking in Detroit. We recommend the service ParkWhiz to find the cheapest parking lot with availability. Some places, like Huntington Place (formerly TCF Cobo) have their own parking.
