156 Anzac Parade was absolutely beautiful! A spacious home with separate wing that was well equipped, sun drenched and had multiple outdoor entertaining areas. The kids loved the pool, cooking was easy as the kitchen had everything (just like being at home) and the furniture and decor was gorgeous. Such a great location, being close to everything too! We loved our time there and hosts were so friendly!

We absolutely loved this property! Our new favourite airbnb ever. Such a beautiful home, well appointed with lovely cosy linens. Gardens are glorious and the deck is a suntrap for lunches and drinks. The pool is magic and we managed to ice bath in it as it’s definitely not summer now! Communications with our hosts were perfect and we are very much looking forward to our next visit. We were quite sad to leave - such a cosy pretty comfortable home.

EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS Our family had a great and memorable experience during our stay at the Whanganui Awa Retreat. The atmosphere is homey and lovely. They provided essentials that we didn’t even expect them to have. Our deciding factor for choosing this property is that they allowed pets and thank you for that as we wanted our dog to join our staycation :) The backyard area with BBQ had a great ambience to have meals with the family. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to book in Whanganui area.

This would be one of the best stays I’ve had in consideration of Ken’s ability to host! He gets the Bed and Breakfast concept. There were so many goodies in the pantry, fridge, and on the bench top for us to enjoy. Instructions were clear, and hassle free. From the minute I made contact- Ken has been great at responding to queries almost immediately. A coolish Wanganui weekend meant the radiator heaters were used by some of our party, allowing us to be warm and cosy. The property offers a ton of options for Al fresco dining and the pool was refreshing after a day touring around Wanganui. I can absolutely recommend Ken and Jesse’s place!!! The four sisters and niece loved it❤️

Ken & Jess opened their lovely house up to us and were so accomodating. Everything we needed and more was supplied. We were very well looked after, the house was very clean and communication was very quick with responses. We would as 6 adults travelling with a Bub 10/10 for space and cleaniness with all the necessities you need provided again thank you Ken and Jess for allowing us to stay in your home 😄
