December 27 - The first issue encountered was that the property was on a side road, not actually on the road of the address given. The keypad didn’t appear to be working (incorrect instructions were given), when we got it working it was the wrong code anyway. The instructions for the lockbox were "located at the back of the property"; it’s a large property & we never found it until the neighbour showed us. The neighbour was then unable to help us with her key (found out that it was deadlocked from the inside). The afterhours number for South Coast Holidays wasn't answered. Airbnb was next to useless. With our problem-solving skills we finally got into the property 2 hours later with food that had gone off in the hot sun. There was no info in the house for local attractions/wifi/supermarket. Beds in the 2nd bedroom are VERY hard but the fold out couch was comfy. We were offered 1 night refund, however when received it was only partial to 1 night. USE THIS PLACE AS A LAST RESORT!

This is a comfortable, well located property 8 minutes drive to Bermagui and about the same to Tilba Tilba in a quiet block close to the lake. The inside of the house is simply and thoughtfully furnished, with new dishwasher, kitchen island, fridge, linen, washing machine and cooktop. It was very clean. It was easy to cook and the shower was good. The space worked well for our family of two adults and two primary school aged children. The outside was a different story with the lawn, garden beds, and trees overgrown and loose guttering hanging from the house into the yard. While this was a convenient and well set up property for access to the lake and to Bermagui and we enjoyed listening to the birds and frogs at night I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone with small kids with the garden in its present state, especially as it backs onto swampy and potentially snake-filled marsh grass. We did question the value (around $2300 for a week), given the unusable and slightly depressing yard. Communications weren’t great either. We emailed the letting company about the yard a couple of times via the Airbnb site and by text and received no reply - however, the yard was mown on about day 4 of our stay.
