Enjoy marsh views with an ocean backdrop from the covered porch as you dial back the pace in this modern beach house. Designed and built by my husband and myself exclusively to host Airbnb guests, the Surf Bug features handcrafted details including cypress trim, hardwood floors, butcher block countertops, and a custom tile shower. We encourage you to kick off your shoes, unplug, and stroll down to the beach—just a tree-minute walk without crossing any streets. The Surf Bug is a bright, open concept one bedroom and one bathroom bungalow featuring a full eat-in kitchen stocked with everything you need for meal prep, a cozy living room with a view of the marsh, and a big ole' covered porch. Designed with couples and honeymooners in mind, we've put attention into details to ensure you have everything you need for your stay - from beach towels to bikes. There's also a spacious, private outside shower with hot water—perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach. Please note, there is no TV so plan to bring a device to stream your favorite news and entertainment if you'd like.

The Surf Bug was the perfect spot for our first anniversary! From how cozy and new fashioned it felt, the cleanliness of it, to the short walk to the beach everything about this stay was great! And it just so happened that during our stay we got to spend a whole evening out on the beach watching surfers and enjoying the sunset! Amanda and Scooter take pride in the Surf Bug and it shows! It is a must stay!

Our street is a mix of rental homes and single-family residences and runs from Highway 12 up to the oceanfront. The neighbors (that's me and my fam) have a doodle dog and chickens, including a rooster who crows in the morning.
You can drive around in your car and see the sites or cruise around the neighborhood and up to the beach on the bicycles that come with the house.
