We are at the top of the hill right off calle mermejita, the main road heading towards Mermejita. Right across from the cemetery. You are in the middle of Rinconcito beach, Punta Cometa, and Mermejita beach.
5 minutes walking to Rinconcito, la baguette, el tiburon juice bar, cafe cometa.
The property has two entrances one on calle catrina that leads to the parking lot and the other directly off camino mermejita, a walkway that leads to the outdoor shower where you can rinse off the heat and beach before heading up to your room.
Best Beaches to swim at:
Playa Rinconcito
Walk: 8mins
Usually the calmest bay to swim at you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas pretty easily. There are also palapas on the beach and lots of restaurants.
Mazunte Beach:
Wak: 10 mins
Some great palapa restaurants on the beach there, but the waves are bigger in this part of the beach, still manageable to get in and out if you are an experienced swimmer. Great place to watch the skim boarders in the late afternoon.
San Agustanillo:
Walk: 20 mins
A good place to learn how to surf, some good beach restaurants, usually relatively easy to get in and play in the waves.
Mermejita beach
Walk: 6 mins
Sunset beach, incredible sunset views, open sea-I don't swim there. There is a great breeze on this beach, nice to go in the early evening to relax and watch the sunset. There's one restaurant on the beach that usually has great live music stuff going on if you want to grab a beer, snack or meal.
Punta Cometa:
Walk: 12 mins
The most southern point of North America, incredible cliff point with 180 views of the ocean. From there you can access the jacuzzi, and punta cometa beach which is usually a bit rough for swimming but pretty isolated. There are several different trails to explore as well which lead you along the coast lines.

Getting to mazunte is easy just need to get yourself to san antonio and it's a 20 minute drive from the main highway to the coast.
Getting to the house:
Head down rinconcito towards the beach and turn right on the big road going uphill towards mermejita (Calle mermejita), cafe cometa is on the corner. It is a bit of a walk uphill, but once you're up here its calm, quiet and tranquil, also the views walking down the hill in the mornings are breathtaking!
Getting around Mazunte and other beaches:
Mazunte itself is a very walkable town you can get everywhere by foot. If you're interested in renting a scooter or moto we can help you once you are here.
If you want to explore neighbouring town san agustanillo, it's close enough to walk, you almost don't notice when one town ends and the next begins. But there is also the option of public transit.
To visit zipolite you can take public transit or a taxi.
