Angel was really nice and we were welcomed with a treat and a holiday note. As other reviews mentioned, the entrance knob is loose. Accessing the house requires driving through a private property. It has nice decor. The linens were clean, as was the house, but the couch is gross and smelled of cigarettes. There is an old cover on it but the stains and smells are there and we avoided sitting on it altogether because of that. Most of the windows facing the next door house didn’t have curtains, including a large bathroom window. The sunroom is nice and large but there is a ring camera in there so we didn’t feel comfortable being watched and avoided it. I think with some cosmetic updates and privacy improvements the house could easily be 5 stars. We were asked to only privately address issues instead of including them in the review but honesty in reviews is important when spending so much to book. The price is consistent with what we usually pay in the area. Overall, a good stay.

We had a great stay at the Big Stone House, it was very spacious and in a great setting. Would definitely stayat this charming home again when visiting the area.

Had a great weekend up here visiting family. Felt right at home in this cozy house , only blocks from restaurants and grocery store. The house was very clean, comfortable and had everything needed. we had a great weekend getaway!

The place is located in a great area close to stores, casino and beautiful sites. Its spacious and is great for doing bbq with family or friends. My only recommendation is that it needs a little renovation but I 100% would visit again and Angel is a great host.

We chose this place because it was close to a conference we attended at Camp Echo. The stairs leading up to the house was quite steep and the bushes were unkept so it made it very narrow. Upon entering the house, the smell of plug in fresheners was quite strong, we unplugged some of them. The bed linens were clean but damp as if they were not quite dry after a wash. We stripped the linens so they could dry faster. There was no curtain in the master bathroom window. After a time the house had a rather musty smell (which made sense why there were so many plug in freshers). To be clear we did not contact Angel because we were at our camp from morning to evening, only using the house to sleep and have coffee in the morning. But this home needs some major TLC, which would perhaps explain the "For Sale" sign out in front of the house.
