Our stay here was better than expected. The house is located in a very nice neighborhood and is modern and clean. We needed to contact Edwin for one small issue and he responded right away. We also requested to extend our visit and it was no problem. Thank you Edwin!

Pros: Location and the bed was very comfortable. Host was responsive. Cons: Cameras inside the home that were visibly on and made us very uncomfortable. Dirty. A lot of dust everywhere and bed linen wasn’t clean. Trash left in the home that was never emptied. Unkept grounds. There were a bunch of leaves by the entrance and the steps leading up to the door that we had to walk through each time. Never raked. This was frustrating because we were there for an event and were wearing nice shoes. There was a large mirror and a couple other items that were just on the floor up against the wall and not hung. It wasn’t the worst experience, but I definitely wouldn’t stay again.

I booked my stay at Edwin’s house for four adults and one toddler due to the proximity of a family wedding. I initially booked the downstairs apartment. I did not see that the upstairs apartment as available. I contacted Edwin about bed sizes in the apartment, and he graciously offered to shift us to the upstairs apartment which had bigger/better sleep accommodations. Throughout the visit, Edwin was responsive and courteous. The check-in and check-out process was easy. The house was in a nice neighborhood. There was a deli a short walk/drive that had good breakfast sandwiches. The layout of the apartment was nice. After entering the apartment, you go up a short flight of stairs to a kitchen with living room and dining room to your left, three bedrooms and a bathroom to your right. The living room was nice, except while laying on the couch you stare directly into a security camera. The furniture was much larger than the space. The TV displayed an alert every time an external camera caught a person walking by, except the camera was not showing what was outside our house, it was showing a different home on a corner lot. Most likely Edwin’s own residence. It was linked to an Alexa, and we did not have permission to disable it. Not sure who’s camera we were looing at. It was weird, then annoying. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and it smelled. Dishwasher detergent was not available to run the dishwasher. There was no dishrack to facilitate hand-washing dishes. There were limited options for pots and pans. I had to buy a cheap frying pan to make breakfast. The microwave/top cabinets are so low over the stove, it’s hard to use the backburners. The refrigerator needs the water filter changed. The water from the refrigerator tasted bad. The extra trash bags were stored outside on the back deck in a bin that was full of rainwater. We had an issue with the fill valve on the toilet during our visit. I contacted Edwin and he immediately sent a plumber. I was already out of the house, and I had to plan to let him in. The plumber Edwin sent did not have parts with him and he needed to leave to get the parts required. He later stated there was something stopping it to flush. The faucets leaked onto the counter, making an extra mess in the bathroom. The upstairs thermostat must be the only one in the 2-apartment house. The temperature was set to a high temperature (74 degrees). Every time I turned it down, Edwin, remotely, immediately raised it. I eventually had to negotiate a temperature with him via text message. His response was “downstairs will be cold.” We settled on a temperature, but it was less than ideal. The linen on one of the beds was dirty and soiled. The white tile entryway, although it looked nice, was slick when wet. There was no door mat to dry your feet. There was no banister on the steps outside. The inside banister was missing a spindle and was loose. There was only one working smoke detector and numerous inoperable smoke detectors. We were under the watchful eye of a couple of security cameras. One of which I just turned to face the wall. The backyard had a beautiful swimming pool and gazebo. However, there was a pile of construction debris in front of a shed that was a complete eyesore. The house was obviously undergoing renovations. A delivery person tried to deliver an appliance to us. Correct a few material discrepancies and clean up the place and this house has the potential to be a god Air BNB. Edwin was a decent host.

Stayed 4 nights. The home was beautiful and clean. Plenty of space and nice quiet neighborhood. Overall great stay.

Amazing location and very communicative host! The space for this Airbnb is a full downstairs level to yourself. It is very clean and updated with a comfortable seating area and huge fire TV. The house is located in an amazing, quaint neighborhood and is within 10-15 minutes of the downtown area and anything else you could need. The backyard also has a very private pool and shaded cabana where you can enjoy your time. If I am ever back in the area, I will certainly be booking here again!
