Whether you're a hiker, mountain biker or cross-country skier, the Rolling Huts, located in Washington's Methow Valley, are the perfect accommodation. Designed as a modern alternative to camping by Tom Kundig of Olson Kundig Architects in Seattle, the six huts are grouped as a herd, each with views of the mountains. Important Information About the Rolling Huts: 1. The double bed in the back room is furnished with a memory foam pad covered with a sheet and European coverlet. The coverlet is changed out and laundered after each visit. We also provide pillows and pillow cases. There is a single bed which can be arranged by adjusting the furniture. There are also three extra foam camp mats to use for extra padding or seat cushions. For use of these you will need to bring your own sleeping bag or blankets. 2. We provide each hut with towels and wash cloths. There are hot showers located in the big barn which is within walking distance to the huts. 3. The hut kitchens are minimally supplied with dishes, cups, and utensils. We also provide supplies for washing your dishes which should be done upon your departure. There is no sink in the hut but there are water spigots outside each hut. 4. There is a small fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, and an electric tea kettle in each hut. There is no stove top but you are welcome to bring one. We do provide a community barbecue with one gas grill and two wood/charcoal grills. If you would like to use these, you will need to bring your own charcoal and knives. 5. We provide firewood and matches for the indoor fireplace. We do not provide paper or firestarters, and you will need to chop your own kindling. 6. There is free WiFi on site, although it is inconsistent at the huts due to distance from the server. Connection is best at the restaurant.WiFi: WesolaPolana Pass: guestaccess CELL SERVICE MAY OR MAY NOT WORK DEPENDING ON YOUR CARRIER. IF YOU HAVE AN EMERGENCY, THERE IS A PHONE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE RESTAURANT NEAR THE FRONT ENTRANCE. We hope you will feel free to make yourself welcome at The Rolling Huts. Upon arrival, please read the checklist in your hut so you are familiar with instructions and information. If you have any further questions, please feel free to respond to this email or call the office.
love this place! We came here for a night get away without kids. we are already planning on coming back!
The rolling huts were amazing. We stayed in #2 and if we went back would try to book either #4 or #6 as they are set a little bit in front of the other hits so offer an unobstructed view. The bed was comfortable and we slept well throughout the cold nights. The shared kitchen was clean and easy to use and the shared bathroom was well stocked and always clean. The sauna was a plus and we never had to wait to use it. We were there in the winter and the groomed community X-country ski trail passes right through the property and will take you all the way to Mazama. The short walk to the river was also a nice treat. We prepared meals bed arriving so that we could utilize the microwave and toaster for cooking. We also found we needed more paper to get the fire going than was provided since things were a bit damp. This wasn’t a problem since we had brought a cardboard box with us but could have been an issue if we weren’t such over packers!
Great surroundings, beautiful nature. Unique design and experience! Clean and quiet. We had a great time!
Nice concept, beautiful location, but - in our opinion- too expensive for what you get compared to all the other airbnb’s we have visited over the the last 10 years.
