We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house by the canal. Easy walking distance to the railway station and to the centre of Leiden. Lovely spacious rooms, but one is very much aimed at small children! And the stairs are steep and narrow which just required careful navigation! One of the guests suggested an updated duvet might be needed in one room. But all other amenities were there and it was a lovely warm welcoming home for a few days. Marlies is a kind and welcoming host, and answered any questions we had straight away. Thank you!

We had a lovely stay at the canal house. It is exactly as described and in a truly wonderful location in Leiden. You do need to pay careful attention on the stairs, which may not be to everyone’s liking. However the home is marvelous and our three-generation-family loved it staying there. Thank you for your hospitality Marlies!

Marlies welcomed us herself which was very nice! Her place is a bit quirky but beautiful. We had a great stay and were able to walk to everything. We enjoyed the hominess of her place and felt very comfortable there.

Unique home on the canal. Great location, close to train and restaurants. Our kids loved the playroom with fun toys and the animals. Marlies offers helpful instructions on how to use the appliances and some recommendations on sights to see. For light sleepers, this home is near student housing.

A beautiful house in a beautiful city. Marlie’s canal house was was the perfect place for our family to relax after full days of touring Amsterdam and Leiden.
