Narina has been a fantastic host, ensuring that everything was arranged and access was easy and stress-free. She added extra personal touches - such as a jug of milk in the fridge to have a cup of coffee on arrival. The house is excellent, it is spacious and clean. The decor is lovely with lots of books and plants. The braai area is super, and the garden is beautiful. From the verandah, we saw a mongoose, several hares and a small duiker. The upstairs area is private. Would highly recommend.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Matop House. The house is close to the Karkloof trails which is an ideal location for cyclists. I would highly recommend Narina’s house.

This was a really amazing place to stay - quiet, well-equipped and just a really nice place to hang out and unwind. There is plenty to do in the area, but staying in is a great option if you need to relax. It is also very well-situated - easy to get to local stores, coffee shops, places to eat right down the road. The book corner was my fav spot in the house. There are loads of small touches and the place is well stocked with all kinds of odds and ends, making it an easy place to arrive at without having to pack a lot.

We can’t actually write enough of a rave review for the MatopHouse and wonderful hosts. It is a unique gem. For anyone who would like to stay in a creative, cherished and thoughtfully designed home-from-home close to nature - this is the place!
