I loved my stay at Highlands. From check in with very kind and professional Cathy, to the very comfortable bed and couch, super clean everything, mid century modern decor, and beautiful surroundings, everything was just so right. I enjoyed sitting on my deck near a bubbling fountain, watching the dappled light through the trees, while I drank a nice glass of wine from the Highlands guest services. This is a great place for those needing quiet rest, couples wanting a romantic getaway, friends wanting at place to enjoy time together and partaking in the surrounding things to do. It's the kind of place to stay and not leave, as well as a place to use as a home base. I will be back.

My friend and I loved this place! It was perfect for a relaxed, but elevated weekend in the outdoors. The cabins are adorable and well designed. The hotel has breakfast, a pool and outdoor fire pits. It’s walking distance to downtown and surrounded by redwoods. So charming! If you’re looking for an adult summer camp feel, this is it!

A beautiful and tranquil stay. The property is tucked away in to a forested area, making it feel more remote. The perfect distance away from local businesses - no noise from surrounding areas but close enough to drive to shops or restaurants, etc. Each cabin has great privacy and a cute little porch on the front for your morning coffee. Communal areas to bbq or sit around the fire. The communal living room area attached to the main office and dining area is great for lounging. The cabins and property are immaculate and cozy. Newly renovated with beautiful vintage design. My partner and I had such an enjoyable visit!
