Our stay at the Hideaway was just what we needed. Richard was right there to greet us and to show us around. The cabin was bright and cheerful and had enough amenities to make meal prep and storage easy. Having access to the canoe was wonderful and allowed greater enjoyment of the waterbirds and muskrat (?) who seemed so unbothered by our presence. We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Hideaway.

We couldn’t have picked a better spot to take in the eclipse. This quiet beautiful spot was a great escape from the city to enjoy some peace. Richard and Jackie had everything set up exactly as deceived and were there to greet us and help get set up as soon as we got there. I can’t recommend it enough. Thanks!

I was welcomed upon arrival and got a personal orientation to the amenities. There was already a fire going to warm up the cozy little cottage. I didn't realize there was no shower when I first booked it but that was likely a reading oversight on my part. During the summer all you have to do is jump in the lake! The composting toilet in the cottage was a welcome comfort to save me late night trips to the outhouse. I enjoyed a beautiful weekend, paddling on the lake and hiking in nearby Frontenac Park.
