Cottage was very clean . I do wish we would have known prior to day of check in that we would need boots to walk to the dock . Cottage was clean and the pictures are exactly as described . Great for a quick getaway and perfect size for a family of five or less. One recommendation for the homeowners would be to out additional shades or curtains in the bedrooms that don’t have it ( only the downstairs bedroom has them) so you don’t have to wake up with the sunrise .

pros: *The Airbnb was in a very convenient location, only about 15 minutes to Old Forge. *It was well stocked, beyond what I would expect from an Airbnb, kitchen had everything you could need * The king bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. *cute decor Cons: *the dock is unuseable, the host messaged me two days before to let me know we should bring mud boots, no thanks, it should really just be removed from the listing * The cleanliness left something to be desired, there were big piles of dog hair, particularly around the couch, and we grabbed a pillow off an extra bed, it smelled so bad we couldn't use it, though our bed smelled fine *this Airbnb is run by like a big company instead of a local person, so when you message your host on Airbnb the company directs you to text your local host, but there was no phone service so it was hard to get anything resolved. *the internet was down several times it was ok, prob. would pick somewhere else next time

The otter lake cabin was very charming and a great cabin for a camping get away. We do wish that we were told about needing boots in order to get to the dock. That would have been helpful. We were looking forward to using the kayaks. The cleanliness of the cabin needed some improvement. The amount of dog hair and dust on the floors was alarming. Over all, it was a good experience.

The cabin was clean and cozy. However, it is a very tight space. I wouldn’t recommend a group bigger than 3 people. The property is RIGHT on route 28, so I don’t recommend small children or animals, as it’s a very busy street. The road also makes it hard for you to find the place, and it makes it difficult to back out of the driveway. The backyard is peaceful, however the wetlands make it difficult for you to access the lake or get anywhere near it. Only one bedroom has a door, the other bedrooms only had a curtain draped in the doorway which made for much less privacy. We made a fun weekend out of our stay, but I wouldn’t recommend this cabin to any large group.

the place was great, plenty of room. due to being in a well, water pressure was quite low but manageable. we were unfortunately unable to get to the water front due to soft ground and no walkway.
