Cornwall · 牧羊人小屋 · 1室1床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Private shepherd's hut + log burner, pets welcome
Kick back, relax and enjoy the unique location of the Oyster Shepherds Hut. Hidden away in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to the Helford River and creekside village of Gweek. This sustainably built traditional shepherds hut will awaken your senses as you gaze through the porthole window from your bed at the rising sun. Explore the rugid shores made famous by Game of Thrones and Poldark, or simply dine al fresco beneath the starry skies before cosying up in front of the log fire. Our handcrafted shepherds hut has been designed with every need considered. Bedding and towels are organic cotton, from John Lewis and Marks & Spencer. Beneath the bed you can find ample storage as well as spare pillows and cushions for the outside seating. Dine in and enjoy the views. Store food safely in the table top fridge. Cook in the microwave, or on the plug in electric hob. Alternatively, the outside brick bbq is ideal for disposable bbq kits, or there’s a Webber Kettle BBQ with charcoal provided. The fire pit is also great for toasting marshmallows or grilling a sausage or two. If the weather turns, you can eat at the fold down oak table in front of a roaring log fire. The en suite bathroom boasts an electric shower and heated towel rail, all operated by the switches just outside the bathroom door. A private parking space is located behind the hut with your own path leading to the hut. If you’re travelling with your pet you are welcome to enjoy our 17 acres of fields for a stroll.
Our stay at Amanda’s was so peaceful, the surroundings were beautiful & near a lovely village. Hut was as described & had lots of storage under the bed which was useful. The bed was really comfy! Amanda was on hand to help with anything. The added touches such as charcoal / bbq, kindle wood / log burner & a fire pit were great. We loved the outside seating & sat out all evening, we spotted a barn Owl & stayed out star gazing. Thanks for having us, we will be back to visit!
This place is absolutely gorgeous. Everything you need in a lovely compact space, with stunning views. We had a really relaxing time and Amanda was so helpful. A perfect end to our holiday!
Had the most beautiful stay Amanda couldn’t do enough for you she was amazing and responded so quickly it was lovely and such beautiful location and clean and nice Doggies loved it too Thanks Amanda
Lovely place to stay. Only here overnight and a rainy night at that so no fire pit or bbq for us but really comfortable and peaceful. Everything you could need and spotlessly clean. Great field to exercise the dog and a lovely view from the hut over the valley. Thank you Amanda!

And while you're waiting there's always time for a drink at the Black Swan or just have a browse of the village stores, ideal for gifts and essentials.

Hi! I’m Amanda! I’m super lucky to call Cornwall my home. I did the usual and worked in London for a while but like many I came home - with my husband and twin girls to provide the life I had growing up. After a couple of moves we now live in this idyllic spot close to the Helford River and the Lizard Peninsula. We also introduced our beautiful black lab Rex to the mix! With space aplenty we decided to support my career change and bought our beautiful shepherds hut to share our unspoilt views with others. We hope you’ll be able to join us xx
