The Lustre apartments, consisting of 1 double bed and 1 sofabed, are thoughtfully designed with curvilinear ceiling pieces, a modern kitchen, and a veneered sliding door separating the two beds and the sofabed. Located in the very heart of Barcelona, the apartments create the perfect welcoming atmosphere. Guests staying at these apartments can browse through the boutiques in this area or tour all the cafes and restaurants in a few minutes. The property has access to a shared terrace. Lustre has received the WeRespect seal for promoting responsible tourism and positive coexistence between residents and tourists. The Lustre apartment building, equipped with AC, has been renovated to strict rules and guidelines which conserves the facade of the ancient gothic quarter. This building has 5 floors with a communal terrace on the roof. With an open layout and some distinct characteristics such as original wooden beams in the ceiling which are typical in some of our lovely Catalonian buildings, any guest can relax after a day of adventuring through the old town. The bedroom accommodates a double bed, decorated in a simple and elegant way. The living room area has a comfortable sofa, and a TV, making it the perfect place to sit back in and enjoy some quiet time. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom comprises of a shower unit. Great location. Tough stairs to get our stuff up but overall would stay again! Smaller shower so just go note if you see taller/ larger

We loved our stay - the apartment was clean and spacious (bigger than it looks in pictures) and the bed is huge and very comfortable and linens were also clean and plush! The semi-private rooftop is great (no one else was there the two times we used) and the location was perfect for exploring not only el born but other parts of the city and close to the beach - loved that the Picasso museum was basically around the corner and many of the restaurants we wanted to try were within 5-10m walking distance (if not shorter). We had no issues with noise/sleeping and host was very responsive to messages usually replying within the hour. The stairs can be tough but still wide enough to carry your luggage and not unmanageably steep - should be fine for most younger/able-bodied travelers (though you may work up a sweat/be winded). Water filter in the kitchen sink was a pleasant surprise/huge bonus that we didn’t have to buy water. Also very accommodating for late checkout. Highly recommend!

El Born is one of the trendiest neighbourhoods in Barcelona, and it's only getting more popular as time goes on. Storied and contemporary in equal measure, it strikes a perfect balance between historical treasures, culture and cool. With its wide variety of offerings, it attracts locals as much as it does tourists, who come by the thousands to the many great bars, cafes, restaurants and one-of-a-kind boutiques. El Born is central and well-connected, close to the Old Port and the beach as well as other cool and interesting places in Barcelona, such as Barrio Gotico, Barceloneta and Via Laietana.
Please note: A true up-and-comer of the Barcelona scene, El Born is home to a colourful blend of international cultures and lifestyles. Its lively and bustling atmosphere may not be for everyone and it's not as polished as some of the city's other neighbourhoods, so it's best enjoyed by single travelers or groups of younger adults.
The Lustre apartment is a short 1 min walk from the newly renovated Santa Catarina market, which is very much worth a visit. It is also a 7 minute walk from the Gothic quarter of Barcelona, which is the oldest part of the city. From there, the famous La Rambla is just 2 minutes away. The Barrio Gótico also contains a concentration of medieval Gothic buildings and is only a few blocks northeast of the Las Ramblas promenade. The major areas surrounding Lustre make up a maze of interconnecting streets linking with squares full of cafés and bars, promising a fun holiday!
