Debbra's place was a lovely home base for a weekend of hiking and exploring. The home is cozy, comfortable, and feels like a real home with character. It has everything you could want for your stay, and plenty of space to relax, unwind, and even get some work done. The area is quiet and relaxed and very close to many hikes. Debbra is kind and full of recommendations and tips tailored to your stay. Would highly recommend and would definitely return if I had the opportunity!
Debbra was a great host and was quick to reply to all messages! The house was exactly as depicted and very cozy, great for a weekend stay. The location was a quick drive to Minnewaska state park and Debbra provided lots of recommendations for trails, restaurants, and other activities in the area. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!
I had an extremely restful stay at Debbra's. From the start, Debbra was communicative, helpful, and friendly. Details for check-in, the house itself, and local activities were all accurate and helpful. I was able to spend rejuvenating quiet time indoors, go for a nice run on the nearby Rail Trail, and spend an afternoon hiking in Minnewaska State Park Preserve. Anyone interested in Minnewaska, if you are going without a car, plan reliable transport to and from in advance...I will say, had I asked Debbra for some more tips for that bit of my trip, I probably would have gotten the advice I needed and saved myself some trouble! (In the end, I got to and from the park safely and had a glorious hike.)
Debbra was a great host and was super responsive throughout the whole booking to check-out process. Cozy home that has everything you need. Debbra provided us with a vast list of local spots and trails to check out which kept us occupied throughout our stay. Highly recommend!
From the onset of booking the reservation, Debbra was communicative and provided useful information. The house was cozy and met all of our expectations. We relaxed by the fire pit, watching the sunset while entertained by the free-range chickens next store. Overall, it was a great weekend.

Im a writer and voice actor, originally from Ohio where I studied Theater and Microbiology at Ohio State University, before moving to New York City in 1982 where I my husband Brent, a jazz musician from Christchurch, New Zealand. We live on the upper west side in New York City. Our neighbor of 20 years introduced us to Lake Minnewaska as well as the gorgeous areas on both sides of the mountain when our twins were very young. For years we did day trips until we found a house we loved at the end of a secluded street with a yard and a woods full of giant oak and birch trees. Since we bought our house, we've added hiking the rail trails, gardening and bird watching to our love of nature. Watching the sun set while sitting around the fire pit is an especially peaceful way to end the day! Our twins are 20 now and we're ready to share our piece of paradise!
