My partner and I stayed for the whole month of February. The place matches the pictures, it is cute and cozy. You have to go pretty far out in the water to actually swim, but the intertidal life is amazing and when you do swim out there are some great reefs to explore (I recommend bringing snorkel gear). The internet works well when the weather is good, it is satellite internet so that’s to be expected. We went during rainy season so the internet was a bit in & out but that is the nature of being in a more private/remote area. I worked remotely while there, so I went to an Internet cafe in town on days I had a lot of work. It would have been hard to find if Lemba didn’t meet us at the airport to taxi us over. Lemba was very responsive and social, she came over at least once a day to check in. She helps with all of the taxi coordinations and trip planning as well as connecting you with locals in the area, but it seems she does not make extra money for this so you should tip her.

Primero agradecer a lemba que nos viniera a buscar a la estación de autobuses cuando llegamos. es verdad que vas a estar junto al mar pero con vecinos y es un lugar de paso de mucha gente por lo que no esperes intimidad. la cama no es la que sale en las fotos sino una litera. no estaba la tienda de campaña en el techo. La cantidad de insectos que habían me picaron tanto que me dolía ponerme los zapatos por lo que disfrutar del exterior no fue posible. dentro hace mucho calor aunque tienes un ventilador y no se por donde pero los mosquitos y demás insectos entraban. la verdad para mí no fue la mejor elección ni la más barata. el internet funciona fenomenal dentro del container pero con tu linea de teléfono no puedes hacer ni una llamada por lo que para pedir un taxi dependes que lemba o el propietario del anuncio tenga internet y reciban tus mensajes. si eres una persona con más capacidad de adaptación a estos inconvenientes que yo quizás esté lugar te encante.

Great place if you want to find seclusion in a beautiful remote location. Absolutely quite especially at night. The beach was very shallow and therefore the water went a long way out at low tide. It was perfect for walking but was not good for snorkeling. This is the place for those seeking a relaxing non-touristy destination. The village was about a ten minute walk away along the beach and the people in the village were very friendly. We found walking to the village the best way to get a taxi into town ($10 Fiji). Food in town was great at a number of restaurants.

We had an excellent time at the beach house! Lemba was a great host, and the house met all our needs! The beach was beautiful, and we loved the nerby village Savusavu.
