Great place!!! So beautiful and coffee on the deck was magical!! Huge place and would be a fun family place! Had all we needed there!

Ideal location if you want a real, small town Maine community experience. The airbnb is literally above the post office. Please know that everything you bring must be carried up the stairs. Being on the second floor provided a great view of the bay and lobster boats coming in and out. You can watch the lobster boats come in to the coop to unload and head over to buy lobsters for yourself. Full kitchen was well-equipped and we took advantage of the propane grill. Great to have 1 1/2 bathrooms; high showerhead fits big tall people and we appreciated having a washer dryer to use. Spacious and airy third floor with ample room for our teens/young adults. Comfortably furnished for hanging out. Gorgeous outdoor porch area with a view. Get to know the tides and you can walk out to an island during low tide from Corea Beach. Easy access to Acadia via car and ferry.

Lovely view and be location on the shore of Northern Maine. This was a lovely location for a long weekend with the family.

Adorable home in a beautiful spot. Our family of 4 had tons of room to relax after busy days in Acadia. The harbor view from the deck is spectacular.

Our stay in Corea and at this place was a great experience all around. We had no issues with the rental and had perfect weather conditions for the week we were there. The apartment was well equipped with bedding, bath and kitchen supplies including a good set of everything needed for cooking. Our preference when vacationing is to have a good split between relaxing, reading, and being lazy, on the one hand, and running around on the other. Also, we prefer small, less busy towns. This means we typically spend a good deal of time at our rental unit. This place and location were excellent for all of the above. Oh yeah -> the Corea Harbor view is even better than the pictures! For our "running around" we visited a combo winery/distillery nearby which we enjoyed very much. There were also a couple of trips to nearby Winter Harbor as well as a couple of trips over to Bar Harbor and Acadia. We found Bar Harbor too crowded for our liking. A late day visit to Acadia after some time at another winery near there was awesome. We saw sunset at the top of Cadillac Mtn. There are a few things in Corea that stood out. The "Lunch on the Warf" restaurant is a block and a half from the apartment and is great food for a good value. It ties with another place we went in Maine for the best lobster roll we had and we had a bunch on this trip. The Corea Co-op is the place where the local lobster boats deliver their catch. You can buy live lobster there at the best price we saw in the area. In fact, the price was 15% less than at the Co-op in Winter Harbor. We were not sure they actually sold to the public. Its not obvious from what you see outside but they do. We talked to several people including manager, office staff, dock staff, and fishermen and all were very friendly and helpful. Lastly, on Corea Rd, there are a couple of nature preserves. One is federal, the other local. The local preserve has the longer 1.2 mile trail and we liked. One thing about the property which wasn't clear to us and was a bit of a surprise on our arrival but turned out to be fine -> this apartment is the 2nd floor of a multi-use building. Downstairs houses a small village post office as well as a hair salon which is only open by appointment (and we only noticed being open briefly). The storefronts were a surprise at first - and somehow more so than a first floor apartment would have been. In the end, it was probably better that way because they were part-time/day time use only. Anything else? - We wish we'd discovered the co-op and Lunch on the Warf in Corea sooner. Would have went to both twice instead of just once. Chase's restaurant in Winter Harbor was not terrible but so great either. They were under-staffed and over-priced. In early July, the sky is too bright for too long after sunset to see stars on Cadillac Mtn before it closes.
