Perfect location to enjoy downtown and beautiful mountain surroundings. 2 beautiful waterfalls within easy driving distance of stay, fun shops and great local food and beverages within easy walking distance.

What a special spot! I had never heard of Saluda before booking this, but I knew my train-loving four-year-old son would love it. The accommodations were super nice and comfortable, with the old caboose serving as kitchen, dining and living space and a connected addition serving as bathroom and bedroom. Had everything we needed and especially loved the table designed in the lookout and the washer and dryer. We had a great time exploring the town by foot, with many easy hikes a short drive away. Wonderful for a weekend getaway in the mountains.

Grier was responsive to communications. The place was super unique, clean, and our family of four fit just fine. The upper deck with gas fire pit, wood fire pit in back of property, and huge front porch made it a lot of fun to hang out outside and you can see the whole Main Street from the deck. Can walk to anywhere, including SPOT directly in front of the rental home, which has killer tacos, rice and bean bowls, salads and drinks. We would definitely stay again.

Such a unique and very comfortable stay! My 4 year old loves train so this was a surprise for him getting to sleep in a caboose! We loved the big bathroom and King bed and the historical touches in every corner of the caboose. We very comfortably fit as a family of 3 and our dog. HUGE plus being a dog friendly stay!!! Main street Saluda was very interesting and good eats walking distance from the caboose, along with a fun town playground.
