Great cabin in the woods, good location for Palisades

We had a great time at this property - very close to Tahoe Donner skiing and a short drive into Truckee.

This is an OK home to stay at in Truckee, Unfortunately, the microwave did not work and never got fixed during our 3 day stay, even though we left a voicemail the first day we got there. When we finally did get a text, the host's repeated response was that the property management company was not able to access the voicemail. Never did get that working during our stay. Also, although we searched high and low, we could only find 3 bath towels in a home that serves 6. I would recommend that anyone with children bring their own soap/shampoo/conditioner. Kids just can't mix their own as the toiletries here require, and those are too meager servings for adults. There has to be a better way to go green. Bottom line, we did not find the host to be responsive - hopefully you will have a better experience.

Amazing place, cute and cozy, perfect for family, lots to do for kids (toys, backyard playground, huge deck space, hottub) and lots to do closeby. We frequent Donner Ski Ranch and SnowPlay and they are both really close. In case it's helpful to the next guest, there IS a washer/dryer (Vacasa told us there wasn't) and, though there is an EV port, there is NOT an EV charging cable so bring your own if needed :) 5 stars from us!

Very beautiful cabin with plenty inside! A great winter stay and plan on booking in the summer.
