Great space which is very welcoming and has many nice amenities such as a great hot tub and rain shower outdoors. It is far away from amenities such as restaurants or shopping, but makes for a different island experience. Would recommend staying here and will return in the future.

The on-site manager, Ashton, was super friendly and made me feel right at home. The space is as described, an alternative oasis in the jungle, walking distance to a beautiful clothing-optional black sand beach. Get up for the sunrise, it's worth it! The only downside about my stay was that the location is 20+ minutes drive from dining and grocery stores.

A lovely place on the Big Island! We enjoyed our stay here and would return. The place was mostly exactly as described. The location was somewhat remote from anything else on the Island, but that's not a bad thing in our book. It was about 20min to restaurants and stores, so not a terrible distance to go. The nearby beach is walkable, but be ready to traverse down the rocks in order to get there! Joel was a great host -- friendly and warm! We had a few questions during the stay and he promptly answered me back. We did not have an opportunity to partake in the Monday BBQ since we arrived back to the house just before the end of festivities, but the music ended promptly at 8pm which allowed for a peaceful evening after the event. Overall, a great place at a good price. The only negative thing I would say is the kitchen could use a little TLC, but that is not totally unexpected when sharing a kitchen with several people. We were still able to utilize it to cook a few meals!
