Mountain Shanty was great! It was easy to find and the host Shannon and her husband Shane could not have been more accommodating. It was exceptionally clean and even better than described. The kitchen had everything you need for a relaxing stay in and the entire house was extremely comfortable. It is right in Mentone which was a wonderful artist community. We went in the off season which was quiet and peaceful and had DeSoto falls and Little River Falls almost completely to ourselves. It was a short drive to Fort Payne and Scottsboro. The drive up and along The Brow was breathtaking. This is a great place to stay and we are already planning our next visit.
